“Your Beauty” is a project by Anna Gets, dedicated to accepting the beauty and uniqueness of every girl. The main idea is that true beauty is not defined by standards, but lies in the individuality of each woman. The project provides an opportunity to express themselves to those who are often overlooked: girls of different nationalities, with disabilities, scars, who have survived bullying. Through the stories of the participants, “Your Beauty” helps to turn pain into strength, and shame into pride.

Author’s motivation
Anna Getz created the project based on her own difficult experience. As a teenager, she regularly faced hurtful words addressed to her – from peers, teachers and even young people with whom she was in love. Loneliness and rejection led to serious health problems:
- anorexia;
- debilitating diets;
- A three-year struggle with bulimia.
Her own project became a therapeutic space for Anna: by creating a safe environment for others, she was able to heal and accept herself. Today, Anna is happy, lives at a healthy weight and continues to develop the project.
Participants’ Voices: 12 Inspiring Stories
The new season of the project features 12 heroines – each with her own unique story of overcoming. Here are some of them:
- Anastasia Kulishova
From a young age, Anastasia faced ridicule because of her thinness. Constant criticism and negative comments led to the development of complexes and non-acceptance of her own body from internal barriers. Now she feels natural and comfortable in her own body, which allows her to be open and real. She is sure that each unique trait is not a disadvantage, but an advantage that makes a person special. Her story reminds us that the support and acceptance of loved ones play a key role in finding inner harmony. - Alyona Shvidenkova
Since childhood, Alyona has faced bullying because of her physique. Jokes about weight and an early figure accompanied her for many years, especially in adolescence. The situation worsened when Alyona decided to connect her life with art: she was repeatedly told: “Where are you getting into? In the film industry, there was also discrimination: if a “fat girl” was needed in the frame, she could be taken for the role, but this did not change the general attitude to her appearance. Alena felt lonely and misunderstood, not seeing examples of women with a similar physique in the media space. The only consolation was foreign cinema – there she found heroines with whom she could associate herself.Having experienced episodes of self-destructive behavior and suicidal thoughts, Alena came to an important realization: beauty standards are an illusion imposed by society. The real beauty is in the strength of spirit, the ability to live life to the fullest, despite external circumstances.Today, Alena is a successful inclusive model, her story inspires thousands of girls. She actively advocates for diversity in media and fashion, proving that every person deserves to be represented in the public space. - Daniela Alexandrova (17 years old)
Daniela is a talented drummer and future sociologist who grew up in a multicultural family. Her appearance reflects the beauty of different cultures, and she is proud of it. For her, the project “Your Beauty” was an opportunity not only to share her personal experience, but also to show the value of cultural and physical diversity.By joining the project, Daniela discovered how important it is for young girls to find like-minded women and receive support. Daniela believes that sincere stories about fears, pain, and overcoming can be a point of support for another girl. Her mission is to remind that openness and mutual assistance can change lives, and every story deserves to be heard. - Evgenia Ermilova
Evgenia is a mother of many children and the author of children’s books, whose work is inspired by her children. Her path in the project “Your Beauty” is associated with reflections on motherhood, the social role of a woman and self-acceptance in a period of intense life changes.
After going on maternity leave, Evgenia plunged into motherhood for 15 years, leaving a career as a marketer in a large advertising agency. Forgetting about professional skills and losing social connections, she faced an internal crisis: in the mirror she saw a tired woman with bruises under her eyes, and acquaintances made comments about her appearance. But in caring for children, in moments of tenderness and unity with the baby. She emphasizes that sleepless nights and household chores do not detract from female attractiveness – on the contrary, they fill her with a new, deep meaning.Having found a balance between motherhood and creativity, Evgenia writes children’s books, ideas for which are suggested by her children. Writing together has become a way for the family to express themselves creatively and strengthen the bond between generations. Her books are designed to remind parents of the value of reading in the age of gadgets and to help children develop their imagination. - Valeria Slugina
Valeria is a make-up artist and producer with a deep understanding of how appearance affects self-esteem. Her work is related to the creation of images for films and photo shoots, where she emphasizes the beauty of other people every day. However, professional activity also brought a downside: Valeria faced the syndrome of self-criticism. She unwittingly compared herself to them, which led to fatigue and low self-esteem. Valeria realized that even those who work professionally with beauty need to be reminded of their own worth and the right to take care of themselves.Participation in the “Your Beauty” project has become a way for Valeria to remind herself and others of the importance of self-acceptance. She is convinced that creativity is an extension of personality, which is why it is so important to maintain a balance between giving back to others and taking care of your own needs. Her mission in the project is to inspire people to take care of themselves. - Natalie Timofeeva
Natalie is the head of prosthetics at a Moscow clinic and an inclusive model with a prosthetic arm. She was born without a left hand, and this event was a serious challenge for her family. However, for Natalie herself, the absence of a hand has never been a source of tears or tragedy.
By becoming an inclusive model, Natalie uses her platform to break stereotypes about “normal” appearance. She demonstrates that the prosthesis is not a defect to be hidden, but part of her identity and history. Her appearance on the catwalks and in the media changes the perception of people with body features, showing that beauty has no standards. What society considers “imperfection” is actually a unique trait that makes a person special. Her participation in the project is a manifesto of self-acceptance and a call to society to be more inclusive.
