As part of the World Dance Festival Russia 2026, an interview was held with Anton Zorkin, a host on the “Carousel” TV channel. In a conversation with journalist MARIAMAGIC, he shared his perspective on working in children’s television.
According to Zorkin, children’s television is a unique platform where important ideas can be instilled in the minds of future generations. He emphasized that children, receiving information through television broadcasts, eventually grow up and shape the future of society.
Special attention in the interview was given to projects that help viewers develop. Anton noted that he is drawn to programs with educational and nurturing components. He believes that even dance can carry deep meaning and tell its own story through the language of movement.
As a teacher, Zorkin touched on the topic of modern children, many of whom tend to be introverted. He shared an interesting observation about the connection between a person’s internal state and their outward expression. The host talked about a simple way to boost self-confidence: just stand up straight, square your shoulders, and lift your head for 3 minutes.
At the end of the conversation, Anton stressed the importance of creating content that helps children broaden their view of the world and develop as individuals.
