Taya Nova (MosFocus): Good evening! This is MosFocus magazine. Please introduce yourself.
Alexander Sheremetev: Good evening. I’m Alexander Sheremetev, an architect and designer.
Taya Nova: How many years have you been working in this field?
Alexander Sheremetev: For more than 30 years now. That’s quite a long time, during which I’ve managed to realize many interesting projects.
Taya Nova: What architectural and design trends do you use in your work?
Alexander Sheremetev: I try to avoid standard solutions. In my projects, I work with unusual styles—from Bauhaus to Soviet Art and Chinoiserie. These directions are especially relevant now. When I taught courses, I always tried to instill in students a love for non-standard solutions.
Taya Nova: What inspires you in your work?
Alexander Sheremetev: Honestly, I find inspiration in everything around me. By nature, I am an optimist and I draw inspiration from travel, exhibitions, and communicating with interesting people. Beautiful things, architecture, and art—all this feeds my creative nature.
Taya Nova: What advice would you give to aspiring designers and architects?
Alexander Sheremetev: The main thing is to constantly search for yourself and new forms. Movement is life. You must not rest on your laurels; you need to grow and experiment.
Taya Nova: What emotions does this event evoke in you?
Alexander Sheremetev: Only positive ones! Events like this are a real breath of fresh air nowadays. Here, you can meet interesting people, see new developments in design, and discover innovative solutions. It’s especially nice to watch the presentations and talk with colleagues.
Taya Nova: Thank you for an interesting interview!
Alexander Sheremetev: It was a pleasure to talk with you.
This was MosFocus magazine with you.
