Handmade couture
At Alley of Fashion 2026, MosFocus spoke with designer Olga Cherepanova, who specializes in wedding and evening fashion.
During the interview, she described the creation of a couture dress made especially for the host of the show. The piece was created under extremely tight deadlines, with the designer even working at night.
The dress was handmade. Italian embroidery mesh, beads and strips of Eurofatin were combined into a graphic composition. Each element was carefully attached by hand.
“I wanted the dress to flow and move kinetically when the model walked.”
Fashion in motion
For Cherepanova, couture is not only about appearance. Movement is also part of the design. The decorative elements were positioned to create a flowing effect as the model walked down the runway.
The designer also spoke about another recent bridal creation. The dress featured a voluminous skirt decorated with large organza roses. These elements were also sewn onto the dress by hand.
Modern bridal style
Cherepanova also shared her positive attitude toward bridal trouser suits. She believes that modern fashion gives designers room for different approaches and creative interpretations.
