Kristina: The Journey into Fashion Styling

Kristina Stylist at Moscow Fashion Week

How a creative interest became a career

At Moscow Fashion Week, MosFocus correspondent Svetlana Chubinina spoke with Kristina about her path into the fashion industry. Her interest in photography and photoshoots gradually developed into a career in styling.

Kristina first took part in shoots and helped organize the creative process. Later, she began working on looks and developing her own style. Over time, this passion became a profession. Today, she collaborates with Russian brands and contributes to productions in different roles.

Stylist, producer, and creative voice

Kristina may work as a stylist, producer, or assistant. She enjoys creating looks for others, but expressing her own creative vision is just as important. Through her personal blog, she shares ideas and outfits with her audience.

“A media stylist also shows themselves and their looks, and posts them on social media.”

Kristina describes a difference between media and celebrity stylists. Media stylists are often more visible and share their own looks. Celebrity stylists may prefer to stay behind the scenes, letting their work speak for itself.

Big productions and a dream of cinema

Balancing education and work can be challenging. Kristina chose a part-time study format to devote more time to her professional development.

However, she wants to explore more than familiar formats. Her ambitions include working on large-scale productions, collaborating with creative teams, and trying her hand at cinema. For Kristina, every new project is an opportunity to gain experience, broaden her perspective, and move forward.
