Veresk: A Family Fashion Brand with Russian Character

Veresk fashion brand at Alley of Fashion

When fashion becomes a family business

At Alley of Fashion, MosFocus met Olga and Anatoly, representatives of the family fashion brand Veresk. Their story is unusual. Together with their eight children, they run a family workshop.

Olga works as the designer and maker. Anatoly focuses on fabric preparation and cutting. Their older children also help the family and play an important role in the business.

Russian style as a reflection of identity

Veresk combines ethnic, boho and Russian-inspired aesthetics. The brand works with natural fabrics and pays special attention to handmade embroidery.

For Olga and Anatoly, Russian style is not simply a fashion trend.

“It reflects our spirit and our homeland.”

A brand that started unexpectedly

The idea of creating clothing appeared almost by chance. The family was offered fabric on installment terms. Soon they also found a household sewing machine. This became the beginning of their journey toward creating their own fashion brand.

Today, the children are choosing different professional paths. Among them are future doctors, programmers and accountants. Yet the family business continues to grow and may eventually be carried forward by the next generation.
