Moscow Fashion Week attracts not only fashion professionals. It also offers visitors a chance to discover new designers and see fashion as an art form. Mikhail, an engineer, attended the event for the first time with a friend and shared his impressions with MosFocus.
A first look at the fashion world
Mikhail admitted that not every design choice made sense to him. Some looks felt unusual or difficult to understand. Still, a few pieces caught his attention. In particular, he appreciated dresses featuring folk-inspired details, which he found distinctive and expressive.
Fashion as art and a new interest
For Mikhail, attending the shows was a way to broaden his horizons. He is interested in culture and art, so he compared the event to visiting an exhibition.
“For me, coming here is something similar to going to an exhibition.”
His perspective shows how fashion can appeal to people from very different professional backgrounds. Even those who are not part of the industry can find inspiration in designers’ ideas and creative approaches.
Open to new experiences
Moscow Fashion Week brings together many ways of seeing style. For some, it is a professional platform; for others, a cultural event. Mikhail’s experience is a reminder that discovering something new can begin with simple curiosity and a willingness to step outside familiar routines.
