As part of the Stars of the Galaxy 2025 festival, Kirill, a MosFocus journalist, interviewed producer Mikhail Grebenshchikov.
The conversation began with a question about the current job: who is Mikhail helping as a producer now? Grebenshchikov replied that he was primarily engaged in his own projects, as he had accumulated a lot of material that needed to be processed. Among them are children’s songs, compositions for “Artek” and “Eaglet”, which he plans to release.
In addition, Mikhail talked about Ksenia’s work on the project: on the day of the interview, she was supposed to perform and perform her fourth song. According to Grebenshchikov, there is an active preparation of content before releases — material is accumulating, production work is underway.
The producer also described his typical workflow: he takes on various orders coming into the studio. It can be the soundtrack to a movie, music for a play, or the creation of a beat at the request of a client. Mikhail described such activities as “small-scale production,” but noted that the work was going well.
Then the conversation turned to the topic of sports. Mikhail shared his childhood memories: he was a draughts champion and still holds many diplomas. He loved to pull himself up, and football and hockey have always been his priority sports. Grebenshchikov added that he still finds time for table tennis, despite the fact that he is no longer young, but also not old.
