Max Rocket, also known as Maxim Abramov, drew attention at Russia Music Fashion with an unconventional look. In his interview with MosFocus, he explained how he created the styling and what inspired his fashion experiment.
A corset, beads, a shaved head and temporary tattoos became distinctive elements of the outfit. The corset itself began as a personal idea. Max wanted to have one in his wardrobe. Then, drawing on his experience as a stylist, he developed the concept into a striking look.
Inspired by Alice in Wonderland
Max said that his styling was inspired by the Mad Hatter and the Queen from Alice in Wonderland. He combined references to playing cards, unusual accessories and his own vision of fashion. As a result, he created a look that stood out at the event.
“The main thing was to show myself, and I think I did it 100%.”
Criticism as part of public attention
The outfit sparked discussion online. However, Max takes the audience’s reaction calmly. In his view, genuine criticism is an important part of public attention. He also sees nothing wrong with hype when it helps someone express themselves.
For Max, a fashion event is an opportunity to show individuality. He would not necessarily wear such an outfit in everyday life. Yet the runway gives him the freedom to experiment and reveal a different side of himself.
