At Regul Fest, MosFocus met Andrey Glushkov, head and coach of the Maestro dance school, and Galina, a performer whose creative interests include dance and modeling. They spoke about stage performances, dance training and the value of trying something new.
Maestro Dance School: From Beginners to Stage Performers
Andrey explained that Maestro welcomes both beginners and experienced dancers. The school helps students learn from scratch and prepares performers for stage appearances. In addition, the team organizes balls, holds masterclasses and creates show programs for different events.
At Regul Fest, Andrey and Galina performed a waltz to Evgeny Doga’s “Gramophone.” Their repertoire also includes the Argentine tango “Derecho Viejo.” As Andrey noted, students can learn these numbers at the school and perform them at public events.
Galina: Discovering New Opportunities in Adulthood
Galina joined Maestro as an adult. She had previously taught dance to children from the age of three and a half, but later began performing herself. Today, her creative life includes dancing, modeling and participating in events.
In 2023, Galina took first place in the “Best Model of Moscow” competition. She also received the Audience Choice Award from Elias. At Regul Fest, she congratulated him on his anniversary and read a poem about love, dreams and the journey through life.
“We can learn these show numbers at our dance school and perform at different events,” Andrey Glushkov explained.
Their story shows that dance can be more than a hobby. It can help people express themselves, gain stage experience and continue growing creatively at any age.
