As part of the Fashion Alley 2025 event, Kirill, a MosFocus journalist, interviewed Ekaterina Novikova, a designer. The conversation was devoted to the master’s work and the peculiarities of her brand.
Ekaterina presented her brand Novik Bijou, noting that it creates a wide range of jewelry for both men and women.
Speaking about the jewelry creation process, the designer emphasized its variability. According to Ekaterina, sometimes a whole line of products is born spontaneously — after an inspiring event. In other cases, it may take up to six months to complete a piece of jewelry.
Special attention was paid in the conversation to the most labor—intensive area – women’s polyurethane earrings. Novikova described them as the most difficult and energy-intensive to produce, but at the same time the most beloved. The designer noted that despite the voluminous and geometric shapes, the earrings turn out to be surprisingly light.
Ekaterina called the key feature of the Novik Bijou brand handmade and exclusivity: each piece of jewelry is created in a single copy.
When asked about the most unusual works, Novikova replied that all her jewelry is unique in its own way. She stressed that the brand has already formed its own “DNA”: when a woman wears Novik Bijou products, others easily recognize the corporate identity.
