As part of the World Dance Festival Russia 2026, MosFocus magazine’s special correspondent Taya Nova met with the festival organizer Ksenia Levashova.
During their conversation, Ksenia shared the secret of her large-scale project’s success. According to her, behind its graceful appearance lies tremendous teamwork. “Behind me is an amazing team of like-minded people who are passionate about dance and understand our goals,” the organizer noted.
The interview paid special attention to the source of Ksenia’s inspiration. She admitted that she draws energy from people—the festival participants and everyone who supports their efforts.
Levashova also offered valuable advice to participants who feel nervous before performances. She emphasized that anxiety is a natural part of an artist’s stage experience and shared her own method of preparation: a deep breath, exhale, and complete focus on the performance.
Speaking about the role of dance in her life, Ksenia confessed that it is more than just a job. Dance has become her destiny: daily hours-long training, leading a team of 250 students, constant growth and creativity. “I am a person made of dance,” she said emotionally.
The interview concluded with warm wishes for success to all festival participants and an expression of hope for the continued development of the dance movement.
